This CD-ROM contains a total of more than 600 Mbytes of tools,
viewers, editors, screen blankers, file managers, monitors, archivers,
backup packages, CD-ROM tools, virus killers, disk savers, commodities
and fonts. With this fantastic collection you will be able to
absolutely push your computer system to the very limit.
Simply open one of the many directories, and use what the most
talented Amiga professionals have developed for you.
Please note: Most of the programs only require a simple double-click
with the mouse to run, provided that the system environment has been
adjusted according to the accompanying instructions. It is highly
recommended that you read a program's documentation before using it,
to make sure that it is suitable for the type of computer system you
are using.
Please note that neither the authors of this collection cannot
accept responsibility for any trouble caused by improper use
or installation of the programs on the accompanying CD-ROM!
If you experience problems when running a program for the first time,
you should properly shut down and reset the computer before making
further attemps, because another program may have fragmented the main
memory. Should the problems persist, a cold reboot is recommended.
Although the programs on this CD-ROM have been carefully selected with
compatibility with the majority of computer systems in mind, some
compromises had to be made because of the great number of different
Amiga models and configurations. Although it cannot be guaranteed that
all programs will run on every Amiga configuration, the majority of
packages will perform flawless on most machines.
The CD-ROM's main directory contains a number of preferences programs
which allow you to select a customized environment to work in.
Assigns
- Adds some temporary assignments to certain system paths.
This is required to run programs which are not permanently available
on your system.
Colors
- Modifies the system's colour palette for a correct display of
the icons on this CD-ROM.
Please note that the color preferences selected here may be
permanently saved to disk with the "Palette" preferences program. It
is, however, not possible to save the aforementioned assignments, as
this would cause problems as soon as the CD-ROM was removed from the
drive. As an alternative, the required files can be copied from the
SYS-directory of the CD-ROM to your computer's system directory.
Warning: You may want to check the version numbers of the files to
copy first. Otherwise newer versions of certain programs could be
overwritten by older ones.
By carefully following the instructions above, you will be able to
get the very most from your 'System Booster' CD-ROM.
